Examples Of Transactional Leadership In Healthcare
Example of transactional leadership within the healthcare setting is when staff are able to comply and follow directives under supervision. Doctors and nurses have some type of connection with the patients to make sure that the patient’s problems encountered. That means, whatever the condition that caused the patient to arrive at the hospital, handled and the patient is able to be discharged home. The reward that would be considered are an employee of the month or year, bonuses and a paycheck. However, if staff are unable to comply or follow directives, it can lead to disciplinary action, or termination.

The general relied heavily upon this style early on as it involves corrective transactions between the leader and follower. Immediately, BGen Savage demonstrated the MBE-A style by ordering his staff driver to stop so he could immediately address the solider for his failures.
