Prejudice exists today because of society and the influences people have. People who believe that they are being judged negatively or who are treated as inferior may have difficulty performing to the best of their abilities. People are influenced by what has already happened in history and sadly 20 rouge muslims made a whole lot of people's lives a lot harder. According to NBC News “anti muslim hate crimes are approximately five times more frequent than they were before 2001 according to the FBI”. This shows that muslim hate crimes became more frequent after 9/11 even though most muslims agree that what happened on 9/11 was extremely wrong and, that they didn't want that to represent them. This shows that for 144 years women were not given the right to vote, and even today some men think that women should not vote because, well there women.
