Examples Of Nhs Essay For National Honor Society
NHS Essay I have recently learned in order to be a part of the National Honor Society (NHS), one must demonstrate the four qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Becoming a part of the NHS will allow me to grow as a person and cultivate my skills. As a candidate for membership of NHS, I already possess the scholarship requirement. Throughout my years of high school, I have taken all honors classes, received honor roll, and tried to challenge myself as much as possible. When I received my schedule this past summer, I noticed organic chemistry was one of my classes. Many people warned me that this class was very difficult and would be a challenge, so my immediate reaction was to switch out of the class. However, I decided to stick with it and, to my pleasant surprise, I actually enjoyed the class because of the challenge involved. For my remaining year of high school, I will take more honors classes, along with an AP class. Overall, I believe every student should try their best to achieve everything they want academically. It is important to have high integrity and good character. This year in my pharmacology class, we had the opportunity to create Jared Boxes for children in the hospital with terminal illnesses. This was a good experience and made me feel happy to help brighten a child’s day. Likewise, around Christmas time, there is an opportunity to provide children in need with their Christmas wishes; this is an optional experience for students but I was glad to help. I have a positive attitude when it comes to helping others, which portrays my good character. Due to my rich experiences as a student, I believe I could be a good addition to the National Honor Society: John J. Rabets Chapter. I have demonstrated each of the required qualities throughout high school and plan to continue to show them throughout

One idea is to help children in hospitals by just making them something like a card or decoration. My dad is working with a company that is rebuilding St. Peter’s Hospital and I know that some of the kids in the children’s section of the hospital would love something to cheer them up. Right now for service I give my old clothes and toys to my younger cousin and if she doesn’t want them, we take them to the Salvation Army. Also like I had mentioned in the first paragraph we donate over three or four hundred dollars a year to the WGY Christmas wish organization. That money goes to poor families so the parents can buy presents or food for their children. I know I need to work on this skill in particular but I have many good…

They have not only embodied who I strive to be, but have helped me achieve success and impact throughout my local community and my time as a national honor society member.
