My vision for America
Deprived of a voice, mute to the feeling of liberty; I grew up, in a land where freedom was unknown. America, in contrast, a beacon of hope, always standing mighty and tall with her soil sweet and tender with freedom, her horizons boundless and her people free. Growing up without voice, without freedom, without hope for change, my people sought to reach America, a land whose name echoes through time, roaring as thunder, drawing us to her. This is the America, whose arms held me with security and lighted the way to guide me towards greatness and the opportunity to mend my own destiny. I became captivated by this sense of security, of boundless freedom, and from there on America became my vision of peace and tranquility, the place that I would call home. Yet it's precisely there, where our strength as a nation resides. The collaborations of ethnic backgrounds and cultures is what makes this nation mighty and what will drive our future generations towards success. America, as mother following nurturing instincts, should embrace us all; she shall see no color, she shall speak no language, she shall have no religion but love. She has her own flag, yet she will fight for others, she has her own melody, yet she will tune to another’s.
