The Ultimate Gift. In the book, The Ultimate Gift, courage was shown by more than one person. Red Stevens had the strength of courage by writing his will and deciding who would get what. His most courageous act was to trust his great-nephew Jason Stevens with the ultimate gift. Red Stevens had hope and faith into Jason that he would get the ultimate gift without giving up and before knowing what exactly the gift was. Jason Stevens had courage to trust his great-uncle with this game of the ultimate gift for a whole year. He would have to give up everything to go through the experience of each element. Mr. Hamilton and Miss Hastings were also courageous to obey Red Steven’s wishes and fallow through with Jason. As Mr. Hamilton and Miss Hastings
