Are you caring towards your own siblings? In both reality and in the make believe, there are many different types of brotherhood. For example, in the novel Tangerine, Edward Bloor uses the motif of brotherhood to show that people are brother by chance and friends by choice. Joe and Mike Costello, characters in the book that live in Tangerine, have a brotherhood that is based on love, care and stability. On the other hand, Paul and Eric Fisher, brothers who had just moved from Texas to Florida, have an unhealthy brotherhood that is based on fear, hatred, and inconsiderate.
