Examples Of Being A Witch In The Crucible
One thing the people in the crucible were afraid of was witches. If anyone was accused of being a witch, they had to tell on other people or they would be killed. To prove if someone was a witch they would hold them under water and if they survived they were a witch. They soon realized that they were killing tons of innocent people that were not witches.
The people were also afraid that Abigail would accuse them of being a witch. Abigail would tell people that someone was a witch just because she didn't like them or she wanted them to get in trouble. If they were accused they would lose their land and they would have to deal with legal issues or they could be killed. Abigail just wanted to get everyone in trouble.
