Example Of Dialectical Journal
Heidi,
I'm very sorry to say that I went home this weekend and got on the 7:55 train this morning that is now running late and I'm afraid I won't be able to make it on time to class. Obviously today is a very important class day as we will be sharing our obituaries for peer review and getting ready for the turn in of the final product. Ill try my best to make it but by this point I'm sure I won't be able to attend, hopefully I can still do a writing article, notecard submission, and peer review. I know this hurts my partner in this as well and please tell the other student I'm very sorry. Here is my obituary attached.
Again, my deepest apologies.

But when she witnessed Boo Radley doing something kind and thoughtful, she found herself shocked and unbelieving. “My stomach turned to water and I nearly threw up when Jem held out the blanket and crept toward me.” (Lee 96). In the letter from Scout to Jem, we see Scout's’ point of view and how she feels. It shows that she is sad that Boo gave them so much and they did not give him anything in return like a good neighbor should have. To convey this, a flowery background symbolizes a neighbor's job to look after one another and the items in the pouch exhibits what Scout and Jem were given I feel that this establishes a feeling of growing maturity because the flowery background also symbolizes the growth of a young girl at the stage of coming of age experiences were a young bud becomes a flower not yet too old to shine like glitter which reveals that pouch holding items is like the pouch of a mother kangaroo because they hold their young in that pouch and Boo cares…

Chapters 15-19 a lot of important events occurred that will impact the end of the story I think. Such as in chapter 15 we right away found out about the dark truth of Rudy. It was an extremely shocking new, I was not expecting that at all. I used to think Rudy was probably a nice guy mostly after finding out that he was priest. That maybe he had just felt disappointed about the religion or something and therefore he would drink a lot.…

As I replaced my corset, I could hear those mindless little birds jabbering on about how Tom Robinson was going to get what he deserved. Ha. As I read the first two pages of chapter twenty I pictured what Amir had witnessed and felt an overwhelming feelings of empathy, sorrow and gratefulness that I would mostly never have to see that in my life and how when he walked through his old neighborhood all his old memories would forever be haunted by ruined and death ridden place he once called home. This is another window that shows the reader another daily event Afghan’s witnessed walking through there own or old neighborhoods. For example it said, “I had a friend there once,’ Farid said ‘he was a very good bicycle repairman. He played the tabla well too. Then Taliban killed him and his family and burned the village.” This quote was an example of one of the several thousand Afghan’s who have seen or heard of family, friends or neighbors killed by the Taliban for a plethora of unknown reasons. This two pages reveal to the audience one out of plenty troubling and horrendous ordeals that people dealt with for possible all their lives living in Afghanistan after the war.…
