Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a use of reliable clinical evidence in establishing highest quality of patient care. EBP is used as decision-making platform to prompt nurses to identify a practical proposal, evaluate research and implement clinical evidence. Moreover, it guides nurses to make recommended changes in practicing medicine. Evidence-based practice usually determined based on controlled data, quality enhancement, knowledge from research and patient preference. Evidence-based practice becomes crucial in nursing practice as it places a benchmark for national and local standards to deliver comparable style. Additionally, it becomes cost-effective in reducing healthcare cost, reducing unnecessary procedures, and complications.
