Evidence Based Nursing Practice
Evidence-based nursing practice is the wave of the future and is being identified as a “key to excellence in nursing care” (Shirey, 2006). Consequently, health care leaders are challenged to create a culture in which basic nursing care is evidence-based and appropriately prioritized from the other nursing tasks. Research has shown that incorporating evidence into practice is necessary to deliver scientifically sound patient care.
