In book “Everything Everything” by Nicola Yoon, main character Maddie Whittier, has a mysterious condition called SCID (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency,), this disease leads to a huge conflict. After meeting new neighbor Ollie, she wants to venture out of her house. But the conflict is she cannot go outside, because of her conditions, which stops her from seeing the world ,and meeting her love interest Ollie face to face. Maddie just wants to go outside, and explore but that cannot happen. “Really there’s only one thing I wish for a magical cure that will allow me to run free outside like a wild animal.
