Over the past couple of years, many people have seemed to question whether the criminal justice system proved to be an effective system. For some, the criminal justice system has proven to be an effective system, because of its established laws and regulations to keep violence and crime under control, as well as keeping our society safe from harm. Others who oppose the ideals and principals of the criminal justice system believe that the system is a monumental failure that unfairly convicts an individual.

Based on her experience seeing hundreds of similar cases, the nurse explained, the wound was not life threatening. Negligence on the hospital staff in caring for Denise resulted in her death. Her death could be said to be accidental since she happened to be there while the fight ensued and was not taken proper care of at the hospital. The state's charges for capital murder was rather too aggressive and deserved a lesser charge. Charles might have injured Denise but he certainly does not kill her. Also, the doctor performing on Denise was not experienced enough for the job, and sources said he lied during a job interview about his experience, which means he does not know the job well enough to be performing on patients. Obviously, all this evidence were hidden from the court. In other words, he was not presented because Charles was assigned an inexperienced lawyer and did not have enough time for his defense. Charles should not be convicted for Denise’s death. If she had died while going to the hospital or even before the doctor does anything, then yes he would have been guilty of her death. Also, due to brady violations discovered and the limited time giving to Charles council to properly prepare and defend him means he was short-changed.
