Eva Peron Essay
Eva Peron also know as Evita, was born May 7, 1919 in Los Toldos, Argentina. In 1930, Eva moved to Buenos Aires, where she had some succes as an actor. In 1945, she married Juan Peron, who was elected president in 1946. As her husband Juan being president, Eva Peron got the position of being the first lady. Eva Peron used her position as first lady to fight for womans suffrage and improving the lives of the poor.
Eva Peron grew up in a poor family, dreaming of one day becoming an actress. Eva was the youngest out of five children. Her mother, Juana Ibaguren, had four children with her father, Juan Duarte. Although the couple never got married, Juana used the last name Duarte for herself and the children. After her father died in a car accident, her family moved to a nearby town of Juinin, where her mother ran a boarding home. When Evita was about 15 years old, she left high school and moved to Buenos Aires, with her dream of becomg an actress. Although Eva Peron was not well trained in theatre, she achieved a few small parts in a few movies and on the radio. In 1945 Eva and Juan Peron married happily married eachother. Evita and Juan agreed that the time had come for the ‘‘shirtless ones’’ of Argentina, to get their fair share of Argentina's prosperity.
