Europeans in the 15th, 16th and 17th century had a new state of mind as a result of the Renaissance. They had many motives for exploring since they had many hopes and ideas about other places. They also wanted better lives when the Europeans immigrated as well as fame and fortune as a result of their explorations. The Europeans in the 15th, 16th and 17th century undertook exploration and settlement due to a combination of social, political and economical motivations. One of the main reasons that Europeans went on explorations and immigrated was due to social motivations to improve their lives.
