What are the positive aspects of stereotypes, if any?
I do not have any positive aspects for any of the sterotypes that I have used.
What are the negative aspects of stereotypes?
The negative aspects is For one people look at you differenty because of your sexual orientation, race or disability, you are often judged by others that do not truly know who you are. It also effects your Social Enviroment. Often times a Job will not hire you beause they judge you from you physical appearance and often times you can miss out on a very hard worer because you assumed they would be a particular way.

Answer each question in 50 to 150 words related to those stereotypes. Provide citations for all the sources you use.
Define stereotypes and prejudice. What is the difference between stereotyping and prejudice? Use examples to illustrate the differences. Prejudice is when someone have a negative attitude towards a particular group and Sterotype is when you place a particular person or people in a group by their race, culture, sexual orientation and physical appearance, basically making an assumption about them. An example for being prejudice is when an employer does not hire a particular person that has all of the characteristics and qualifications that you need yet, you do not hire them because of their skin color. Neveertheless, an example of sterotype is when you assume that all African americans are less fortunate and commit crimes all of the time.
What is the relationship between stereotyping and prejudice?
The relationship between sterotyping and prejudice is they both make assumptions about an individual and treat them cruelly or with an negative attitude.
What can be done to prevent prejudice from occurring?
An example of what can be done to prevent prejudice is for one stop sterotyping groups of people, secondly do not make assumptions about them. Learn to treat these individuals better with an more positive attiude and get to know them without assuming that you already do, before you actually know them. Become more caring and understanding.
