Essay (opinionated) on the ideal president.
The ideal President according to the Constitution and what I believe would differ greatly from what was seen in the 90s. Where the ideal President would not act along party lines, the Presidents of the past sought to draw themselves into party struggles in which weakened the nation in numerous occasions. The ideal President would act only on the best interests of the nation and not act as part of any sort of political agenda that would seek to gain power for the President's political party or from a desire to return to the office for prestige.

The character of my ideal President would be beyond reproach. Scandals that involve different aspects of his character, the way he behaves and his actions, would be nonexistent in the ideal President. Likewise, events like the "Monica Lewinski" scandal would never have the opportunity to take place.

The job that the ideal President would do is a multifaceted job. In addition to the regular duties of the President as the chief of various aspects of government and functions, my ideal President would seek to restore the United States' reputation as the greatest nation in the world. Police actions in any country would be ended and when the military is to be used they would be given clear orders on what their objective is along with next to no rules of engagement - simply fire if fired upon. The political maneuvering that occurs in Washington would also be done with as much as possible. Instead of setting agendas and seeking compromise on them, the ideal President would use his (or even her) strength of character and reasoning to pass through various laws and bills. Another job of the ideal President would be to help change the way of life in the nation. While things such as discrimination do occur, programs such as affirmative action do not help, they only seek to lower the standard for certain peoples while raising the standard for others. Freedom of religion would also be given its full rights under the ideal President.

The office of president today is very different from that envisaged by the framers of the constitution in 1787- the circumstances that have given rise to modern presidential power could not have been foreseen. However some argue that the office of president is one of inherent weakness rather than strength, and that the powers of the president were no guarantee that power could actually be exercised. In his view, presidential leadership was possible only when there were extraordinary crisis conditions such as depression or war. F.D. Roosevelt is often given as an example of such a president.…

His presidency began in 1976 through 1800 and was the second president of the United States, after winning the election against Alexander Hamilton. Upon winning the election he became the Chief of State. His most notable accomplishment, as President, was to avoid a war with France, while maintaining American honor. In our opinion he did a good job of this however he was not greatly supported by the Americans at the time.…

Being Jewish anywhere in the world was hard in the 1930s and 40s. Almost all know about German jewish hardship, the systematic slaughter of millions of jews in death camps across Hitler’s empire, but what many do not understand is that anti-semitism was incredibly strong in the United States as well. However, in a time when almost none stood by their side, Franklin Delano Roosevelt seemed the only world leader who cared. However, his cabinet did not share his welcoming attitude, and attempted to sabotage him. Although Roosevelt demonstrated that he did care about saving the Jews, his administration perpetrated systematic denial of Jewish entry to the country. Because he did not do enough to investigate this until it was too late, he is…

The ideal society of Jefferson and his followers varied greatly to the federalists’ ideal society. The Jeffersonian Republicans wanted their society to have a central government that barely controlled the lives of the independent farmers. They preferred to have a strong state government. The sole purpose of the government was to protect one’s liberties that the Constitution granted. Jefferson expresses his ideal society in…

The government works substantial just how it is. The powers between the Congress and President in the foreign policy is divided reasonably. I do not think I would make any changes in regards to Constitutional powers of the President or Congress. How it works is very significant even the requirements for the President don’t need to be changed. A lot of people would like to change on how the president does not have to be born in the United States in order to become a President. It’s better that we keep everything the way it is and how it works in the foreign…

In general society and everything has become more complicated, more laws have been passed. Every one passes the buck and doesn’t want to take responsibility and plays the “blame game”. It is gridlock in Washington DC, the bureaucracy has grown vast and complex, nothing gets done. But if Presidential powers are rolled back the office of the Presidency will lose credibility, power and respect. Public opinion regarding the president’s job performance influences presidential power; the higher the public approval, the more power the chief executive has to influence others within the political system, including Congress. The President may have charisma and influence, but the real power comes from Congress. The Constitution is supposed to prevent…

The president’s personality, like the style, worldview, and character will influence the president. For example, FDR was skilled at using rhetoric, direct bargaining and intense analysis of details of policy to pass his preferred policies. Presidents who see human nature as inherently evil, for example, will probably have a hard time working or bargaining with others. Character is the way a person orients himself toward life. Like Wilson, he was probably a little too full of himself. The historic situation is also an important element to let a president whether fail or success. For example, Lincoln and FDR faced a world of strife but had a lot of support in congress, while Madison and Wilson opposition in the political system. There are always lot expectations of all presidents. However, some presidents certainly face more or less expectations when they entered…

Franklin D. Roosevelt exemplified the importance of practicality during his presidency. He entered into office during a time of a great depression and low morale of the American people. In order to remove America from this horrific phase, he enabled his practical skills and created the New Deal. The New Deal created programs such as the Social Security Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act which led Americans to realize how important practical things are in life. FDR presented the idea that the easiest skill to obtain is patriotism for the United States and that was fully accomplished with the New Deal. FDR was a very practically based president and ultimately led America in the right direction.…

My vision for America is that I could see peace for this wonderful country, and great minds, and the future for mankind. If mankind keeps going it’s course like war or any other conflicts that is still going on to this. Day we would fall and loose everything that we hold so dear. We would lose our families and misunderstand how this path we still take will affect us. So basically what I am trying to say is that mankind needs to change its path and make a new one. We need to start over again so we can stop this childish conflict and get along with each other. We need to forgive not forget the ones we miss or look over.…
