Religion is something that has been around for most of the history of the world. Religion is essentially a method for humans to explain how the world came into being, how people should live while they are alive, and what happens when people die. The way religions communicate these things is through their writings. For Muslims their writings are the Qur’an, the Hindus it is the Vedas, and for Christians it is the Bible. All of these books have proof for their authenticity, but ultimately any evidence is interpreted through the investigator’s worldview. There are a lot of things that prove the Bible to be the true word of God that Christians believe it to be. Common Flood Stories, the code of Hammurabi, archeologically attested Biblical cities, and the burial place of King Uzziah are some of the many things that prove the Bible to be true. King Uzziah was a king of Israel that succeeded his father at a very young age. At sixteen years old, Uzziah assumed the throne and started out very well. He was a very good king to begin with. He had a man of God that helped him rule by the name of Zechariah. King Uzziah though had one major fault that lead to his downfall. King Uzziah’s downfall occurred when he tried to offer sacrifices to the LORD, something that only the Levites were allowed to do. King Uzziah sadly ended up becoming leprose, and was forced to live in exile and allow his son to rule (Ironside). King Uzziah as all men naturally died and was buried as a leper. The King’s remains; however, were reburied near a Russian Orthodox Convent on the Mount of Olives. The device that proves this to be true is a tablet that says that that was the place that held the remains of Uzziah (Center for Online Judaic Studies). This tablet is currently in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Israel
