Why Abortion Should be Illegal
In 2015, 906,000 abortions took place. That's 906,000 innocent lives taken. Women and girls who get pregnant unintentionally end a life when they get an abortion. Because of their mistake someone loses a chance at life. Abortion should be illegal because an innocent life is being ended, abortions reduce the amount of adoption and women should take responsibility for their actions.
For every abortion a women gets an innocent child's life is ended. “It’s a sad fact that courts in both the US and European countries do not consider the unborn child a human being worthy of protection” (Milligan). Every person should have a fair chance at life, and whether they are in the womb or not this is America and everyone is equal. Unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government and killing an innocent human being is wrong, even if they aren’t born yet. Also, Abortions reduce the amount of adoptions. For people and families that can’t conceive or want another child in the family normally go to adoption. The number of infants adopted have gone down over the years. This fact shows that most of it are womens mistakes and they don't want to deal with the challenges of having a child. Most of the women or even girls are probably still in school and their decisions would make their school experience much harder unless they just got rid of the problem or the baby with abortion. Girls should take care of their own mistakes and the answer shouldn’t be taking a

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

According to www.sdadefend.com, there are approximately 1.6 million abortions in the U.S. every year, which is about 4,383 a day and 3 per minute. That’s an abortion every 20 seconds! Abortion should not be performed unless it concerns the health of the mother that makes her unable to carry a child. There have been many arguments about whether abortion should be legal or not. In an editorial from the Washington Times, entitled “Abortion is no minor matter”, its written that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which is pro-choice, wants to delay a 1995 law that requires parental or legal guardian consent for a minor to have an abortion, while the Americans United for Life (AUL), which is pro-life, has supported the Pregnant Women Support Act in 2006 and was an important role in the Harris v. McRae decision that occurred in 1980. There are many things that the government should acknowledge before passing laws about the legalization of abortion, such as the choice of adoption, the dangers of abortion and every human being having the right to live. Conforming to www.womenissues.about.com, life begins at conception of a baby, and abortion is no different from murder because it is taking a human life.…

What is to happen to them? Abortions are a personal decision for the woman and for her body. Abortions can be done because the woman may not be in a time of their life where they are ready for children (financially, emotionally, relationship/ age-wise). People often say "USE PROTECTION!" and then "IT'S YOUR FAULT", but how do you know? Contraceptives are not always 100% effective, even when combining more than one. Sex shouldn't be something people use as a fear tactic. Sex shouldn't be taught as a punishment. Additionally, the growing fetus may be physically harming the woman or girl or destructive to itself. And to add to the original point, 14,000 abortions have been a result of rape or incest. If you were to place yourself in that womans shoes, how much would you hate yourself to be forced to carry your assaulters…

A child should not be punished for your irresponsibility. An abortion is not a condom, or the morning after pill; you are actually hurting someone. If you truly are not ready for the responsibility do not hurt a child put them up for adoption because then you can always explain to the child you were not prepared for the responsibility.Abortion has reduced the number of adopted babies. The number U.S. infant adoption dropped from about 90,000 in 1971 to 18,000 in 2007 (Koch). How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

Whoever assists in the act of abortion must be sentenced. Do not let the thought of mercy corrupt your minds, for if an abortionist were granted acquittal, his detestable work will be encouraged instead of outlawed. ( Consequence ) The abortionist does not only harm one, but instead causes suffering and loss to many, even the judges who consider his case; for the judge's own grandchildren could fall to the same fate others have if the abortionist is not found guilty. A sexually active teen that does not use contraception has an increased chance of becoming pregnant. Teen pregnancy is one of the most difficult experiences a young person might ever face when it interrupts school and many other life experiences. It can create an emotional crisis resulting in feelings of shame and fear, and it may appear that you will crumble under pressures in your surroundings. The stress of how you are going to break this news to your parents might be even greater, and finding help may seem an impossible task. I agree that there are several circumstances where a woman may come to a decision to have an abortion. An unplanned teen pregnancy is a firm example of pro choice abortion. The teen in this situation make not be mentally, emotionally, or physically able to care for a child, so having an abortion maybe the best decision for her. On the other hand, if the teen chose to give birth to an unwanted baby, the child could be at risk for underdevelopment due to…

What is an abortion? Should abortions be legal in the United States? An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Today, abortion is one of the most controversial topics in the United States, some people believe abortions should be illegal, but abortions are legal nationwide. My opinion is that abortions should be illegal because an unborn baby should have a chance at life just like the two who conceived it. Abortions should be illegal because there are ways to prevent a pregnancy, it is the killing of a living human being, murder, and it’s a possibility that a woman can have complications after an abortion including psychological trauma.…

Most people do not know what it feels like to struggle to keep a child and care for it.
