Essay On The Uniform Code Of Military Justice Is Necessary
Being a member of the military requires a lot of discipline and dedication. In order to provide and have the members feel the additional responsibility than from a civilian the Uniform of Military Justice is necessary. When a person joins the military, they have to be aware of the different set of laws that will apply to them. The discipline for a military member is necessary as they are in charge of representing and defending a nation. Laws were created to have a functionally society and by having an additional set of laws for the military members, they become aware of the greater responsibilities they have.
Military personal encounter situations dealing with delicate information, people’s lives, dangerous chemicals and heavy machinery throughout the day. On the contrary a civilian does not have to take decisions of this matter through the day. Of course, the military personal are given special training that prepares them for this type of situations. Being able to control emotions and have discipline is important to generate the most favorable results. Their lives and circumstances abroad are different from a civilian’s and require that extra discipline to keep them focused on what is best for their country. This does not mean that military members are expected to lack needs and emotions. It is because of the dangerous positions they are put on or given that order is required. The ideal is to inform as best as possible any person wanting to join the military about the behavior expected and new set of laws that will apply to them. The military is a big part of the country a designated court designed to deal with the problems that arise in the military is beneficiary for both civilians and military

    There are many reasons why a soldier, (doesn't matter the rank) should obey orders from anyone above him or her in the chain of command. Sometimes its good to listen to people soldiers below you too because they maybe smarter at the task then you are. One reason is that the military is revolved around higher ranking soldiers leading the lower ranking soldiers, they’re more experienced in the military then I am and been deployed more than i have. If everyone in the military just did their own thing then we wouldn't be a successful army and then our country wouldn't be as strong as it is. Every higher up gives an order for a reason, we may not like the reason but in the end most of the orders and decisions will be smart ones i guarantee. Well, when a person enlists in the United States Military, active duty or reserve, they take the following oath, “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.” Right there you are making a promise to the United States Military. Before you or I even put on the uniform, you promise you’ll obey the orders of the President and the orders of the officers appointed over you.
