The Three Little Pigs, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs are both children's books sharing two very different perspectives of the same traditional story. Both books share the Dewey decimal classification of PZ, indicating they are both language and literature, as well as bibliography and library science (1). The Three Little Pigs, which is the original fictional story, is written in an easy to read format intended for juvenile audiences. With an illustrative format, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs still caters to juvenile audiences, yet has a more mature writing format due to the composition of words within the book. Due to the varying amount of works published, and the popularity of the story, the original author remains unknown. I would expect children which enjoy the original story to become frightened by the alternative fable; therefore, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs caters to an older age bracket.
