Essay On The Relationship Between Romeo And Juliet
Juliet was very young.She was only 13 and Romeo was 17,and they got married so young and had sexual intercourse very young.We know that Romeo & Juliet felt lust because they were impatient,they fell in love in a three day period. After they got married they copulated that same night which tells you they were impatient and lustful. They also were willing to do anything to stay together and be together. They did not care that their families have feuds and died together because of dumb timing.
The Romeo and Juliet play written by William Shakespeare was not much of a love play it was more of a lustful play. They met one night and got married right away which is not very common with anyone to get married that fast. Romeo told Juliet that they were going to get married the same night they met. Supporting this Juliet says “Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed.If that thy bent of love be honorable,Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow,By one that I'll procure to come to thee,Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite,And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay,and follow thee my lord throughout the world” (Act 2 Scene 2) During this scene they barely met that same night which shows you how impatient they are. This play was well written but it will not change the fact that the characters Romeo and Juliet were nothing but teens in lust. Romeo knows nothing about love he is just a teen that thought he felt love but proof shows it was nothing but just plain old lust, he got married right away so he could do what he did to Juliet. Not only that but the “relationship” was very fast pace and did not take time to develope which does not require proof for the reader to know that it was not love. There is still many statements that can argue the fact they felt lust but my statements have been listed and
