Have you ever thought about the effects that college education has on an individual’s life? Individual students graduating high school are wondering whether or not they should attend college. College education has its pros and cons, but you can never go wrong with too much education. College education is the key to a successful future for individuals who are serious about college. 19.9 million students were enrolled in colleges and universities in 2013, compared to 13.5 million in 1990, 7.9 million in 1970, and 2.7 million in 1949 (Lazerson). Although, college education can be beneficial it is also very challenging. I believe college education helps individuals obtain a degree, with the degree persons can obtain a better job, and obtain more knowledge. College education helps individuals obtain a degree whether it’s a two year degree or four years. Either of which can grab the attention of a future employer. One of the most obvious and important reasons to earn a college is to increase your earnings. Receiving a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree will enhance an individual marketability as a professional. On average, a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree earned …show more content…
Earning a college degree can open many doors for an individual who’s looking for a career. Studies have shown that college graduates are more likely to receive greater employer with benefits then employees without a college degree. 58% of college graduates and people with some college or associate's degrees reported being "very satisfied" with their jobs compared to 50% of high school graduates and 40% of people without a high school diploma (Education Pays). College graduates are normally more satisfied with their careers than individuals with a high school diploma, and since most people spend their whole life working job satisfactory can be a big factor in overall life
