“There is no greater injustice then the false accusation, the innocent suffer the persecution of the guilty when they have done nothing wrong.(Caryn)” This statement seems especially self evident in reference to David Mamet’s “Oleanna”. In “Oleanna“, a college professor simply referred to as John, is falsely accused of sexual harassment and eventually rape. Yet, no real sign of sexual contact, rape, or sexual phrases seem to appear through out David Mamet’s play. Which is why John is in no way shape or form, guilty of the pending charges. The charges are brought forth by a student named Carol. She is performing poorly in his class, and as a result she decides to consult him about the class, and the material. John gives her the offer of a second chance and to help her pass the class, if she is willing to put in the effort. However, instead of choosing to take John’s help, she decides to falsely accuse John of sexual harassment. The reason why appears to consist of John’s over eagerness to help, Carol not understanding the material , and a hidden agenda that Carol seems to posses.…

That demonstrates that there is minimal effort in promoting awareness around campus. All students receive emails about sexual assaults, but we all don’t receive emails about how to prevent it, nor who to talk about it. There needs to be more awareness about the dangers of sexual assaults and how to prevent it from happening again. There are a very few signs around campus about key points to do after a sexual assault, but not about how to prevent it. CRC needs a counselor or advisor with great knowledge about sexual assault prevention, to visit a few classes a day and spread awareness to the students about how to prevent these dangers from happening again. In todays world, a full time student doesn’t have the time to go look for prevention information, which is why, CRC needs to put the effort in going to the…

In the United States, women are constantly threatened by rape and sexual assault. College rape statistics are the highest now as they have been in years. While attending college, 27% of women reported being raped or sexually assaulted, and over 90% of attempts or completed sexual assaults go unreported. College campuses are an ideal hunting ground for predators due to the availability of alcohol and other drugs, the fact that many people live on their own, and the fact that the age of many college students are 18-24.…

Even if the conflict theorist argue that a workplace is a setting for sexual harassment, and is dangerous and can result in death, Illness, or injury, it is not every workplace that exposes people to danger in fact very high security measures are taken in today’s working arears so that people’s live are well taken care of and protected, cases of sexual harassment are actually less in the workplace since employees are allowed to lay a complaint if something doesn’t suit them right in the area they are working in, and anyone who is involved in complicity in the work place has to be fired if the impact is less, but if the impact is severe that particular person must be arrested.…

She overheard a conversation taking place between several of the company’s sales representatives. When returning from lunch break, Toby Warren, a senior rep asked David Goldman, a junior rep the following questions: Do you have fantasies about the other men in the office? Do you wear women’s clothing at home? Is Scarlett Johansson “hot enough to set you straight”? The other reps laughed at these comments. Sexual harassment topic is one of the most widely covered by media, politicians and general public. The most common kind that is observed in publications and articles is the sexual harassment in the work place. But another very important type of it that remains in shadow is the sexual harassment in schools. Bullying is one of the most popular issues discussed when it comes to young kids. But what primarily affects the kid’s psychology and behavior is the unwanted sexual situations that existed, exist and are going to stay if nothing will be changed. The Tracy’s Clark- Flory publication “It’s more than pulled pigtails”, published on November eight, 2011 in Salon magazine raises a problem of sexual harassment in schools and provides the number of anecdotes about young kids, suffering from sex attacks in schools. Looking at the title of the article a reader can understand that it is about school and problems that are beyond just teasing and playing among kids. The author conducted a research and found out that a large number of children were sexually harassed when they were in school. Tracy Clark-Flory claims that sexual harassment in schools is alarmingly on the rise and very little is done to change it. I think that this problem is one of the leading issues in schools for two reasons. Firstly, children don’t know how to express themselves properly. Secondly, adults are being indifferent to children’s complaints.…
