Essay On Selena Quintanilla
Selena Quintanilla Perez was a famous Mexican American Tejano singer. Her life was filled with lots and lots of success. With all the success she had, Selena had lots of problems on the way. Selena had lots of friends and family supporting her to all of her success. On March 31, 1995 something very bad ended her career. Selena was born April 16th, 1971. She grew up in a nice town surrounded by music with little friends and little playing outside. Selene has 2 sibling A.B( her brother), and Suzette( her sister). She lived with her mom, dad, brother, and sister. This family was obsessed with music mean while her dad used to be in a band. When Selena's dad Abraham discovered her talent for singing at age 10. After that they created a band called “ Selena and Los Dino's”. Selena and Los Dino’s was made up of Selena as lead singer, brother playing bass, sister with the drums, boyfriend/ …show more content…
After a couple of concerts Selena had a singer on the radio and they announced that it was number one. Selena's guitar player became the love of her life and they ended up getting married. After more and more concerts that were jammed packed and sold out, Selena won a Grammy. After all the happiness of her winning a Grammy her personal worker ended up shooting Selena in the shoulder causing her to die. Her personal worker is now in jail.

Selena was a very well known and successful Tejano singer. Since Selena was so famous they created this movie not to long after she had passed. This movie made it so everyone could learn and be inspired by Selena and her accomplishments. She was not only a huge impact on people's life but in the the music industry. She impacted the music industry by paving a way for other Mexican American woman to be accepted in the music world. For we will always remember Selena Quintanilla Perez and what she did in her
