The Respiratory, Circulatory, Skeletal, Nervous, Digestive and Endocrine are the body systems. The Circulatory system has a disease that is very common.Which is called Peripheral Artery Disease. Peripheral Artery Disease or P.A.D. is something that causes plaque buildup in the arteries that carries blood to the head, organs, and limbs. P.A.D. affects the body from blocking the blood flow or slowing it down. It is more known in people older than 50.
The disease is caused by a condition known as atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis causes a waxy substance to form inside the arteries also known as plaque (Cholesterol)l. It affects the body by blocking the blood flow making and making the arteries to harden and narrow. P.A.D. is not contagious, although, it is genetic, meaning, if past family members have had it, you could too. Like during embryonic formation, you could develop it at a very young age. The total outcome of P.A.D. is that if you do get it, you can get it treated with quitting bad habits and start making new ones that will help your health.
