Essay On Cardinal Care
Going to classes on the daily basis you wouldn’t really expect to see three to five-year old kids in a classroom playing with legos and cooking in a wooden kitchen, though this is exactly what you would see if you were to walk into the FCS wing of the SCHS. Recently here at SCHS Hanna Hager, one of the teachers in the FCS wing, has began to run a daycare that she likes to call “Cardinal Care”. Hanna Hager says she started the Cardinal Care program because, “There are a lot of FCS programs in the state that offer child development classes and they have their own version of a cardinal care program, my favorite part about cardinal care is that it gives students real world experiences in childcare, I love seeing students come to life with the

Cardinal care helps most students in getting experience for future careers, one student actually said, “Well I want to be a teacher so I thought this would be a great stepping stone towards that”. Most students have come to say that they even feel that Cardinal Care is a great help to parents, “It lets parents gets things done, like getting groceries and running errands, while it also helps teach kids basic skills”.
Even the kids themselves have their own opinion of Cardinal Care at this point, some of them even have specific activities they like to do, “Let's see, let's see, I like to read to the big kids over there.” , this was a response given by one of the younger kids in Cardinal Care as she pointed to some of the students that help with Cardinal Care.Cardinal Care is one of the newest developments in learning here at the SCHS FCS department and it seems that it has helped parents of the community, students wanting to pursue careers in child care, and even the younger students in Cardinal
