Similarity of two characters Women today are happier, because they have the same rights as men. They can participate in the work force and have freedom and independency in marriages. However, women in last century were less lucky. From story, we learn the life of women in the old days when Women had to stay home all the time doing housework and nurture their children, and serve their husbands. They were not allowed to their own decision under their husbands’ authority, and they didn’t have much social activities.
