ERROR AND CONTRASTIVE ANALYSIS
INTRODUCTION
The subject of our project is called Abdallah Qwaider, a 19 year-old Palestinian boy who has recently come to Malaysia to further his studies in IIUM. He is enrolled in the faculty of Information Communication Technology but is currently taking English courses in CELPAD. He has been speaking only Arabic for the past 19 years as it his first language and upon coming to Malaysia he faced some difficulties expressing himself and dealing with people who do not speak Arabic.
Although he was taught English in school, he claims that it was poor and that he did not benefit from it whatsoever. Abdallah has provided us with samples of his writing since he started learning English after graduating High school until now. We also interviewed him and asked him general questions about himself as well as more specific ones concerning his English learning process, the difficulties he has faced and how far he has come. We transcribed this interview and analyzed it along with the written essays he provided in order to discover the errors he makes in written as well as in spoken discourse.

The Smoking
The smoking is one of the worst and most complicated probems. I don’t exaggerate when I say that is has made our life a hell. Let’s shed light the main problem. it is diseases It is most dangersous diseases it is cancer also coronary heart disease, lung and adversely affects the untritional status and body weight. Above all that the peoples smoking. in my point of view, I think that somok harmful to heath. of the reasons that lead people to a smoking it is vacuum, Ignorance and lack of knowledge of the results and pleasure. finally, Here are some suggestions that may help us to solve this nasty probem. it is make more research of smok, Repat this phrase to yourself “if quit smoking now, I will live long life” and Enrich your personal motivation for smoking cessation.
