Job: RN Nurse
Night In The ER
I. Introduction
A. Attention Getter: What would you do if you were involve in a car accident and your family was in the car with you? But they are not just in the car. One of your family members has been taken to the emergency room.
B. Thesis Statement: Well I am here to tell you I am the person for the job to take care of your love one and I will explain you why.
C. Preview: Like all of you I am a very kind and caring nurse. Also I pay very close attention to every single detail of my patients to make sure they are okay. Finally I always like to work as a team with my co-workers so we can bring our patients the best caring.
Transition: Let me start with my kind and caring spirit.
II. Body
A. First Main Point: Kind and caring.
1. Since I was really young I have been taking care of my lovely mother because she suffers of headaches due to a tumor in her head.
2. There were days when she would spent most of the day in bed.
3. To help I would constantly remind her to take her medicine and help to clean the house.
Transition: Secondly by taking care of my mom help me to pay close attention to details.
B. Second Main Point: Close attention to details.
1. By just looking at her I was able to tell how she was feeling and how much pain she was feeling.
2. But this ability help me at school as well in my classes.
3. I always pay close attention to everything the teachers and that help me to achieve always good grades in my classes.
4. Now it helps me to pay closely attention to my patients. I always carefully monitor my patients by checking their vitals and asking them if they are feeling any pain.
Transition: Finally I have always prefer to work as a team then individually.
C. Third Main Point: Work as a team.
1. When I joined my first soccer team all I thought about was scoring goals but never really play as a team.

    The patient was restless and gasping for air. The registered nurses quickly responded to the emergency by calling for an emergent intubation. Immediately after calling for assistance, a male wearing a surgical cap and a badge that read CRNA showed up. Though I was amazed by the entire experience, The Certified Nurse Anesthetist truly captured my attention. The encounter was intriguing to watch, as he took control of the chaotic situation and demonstrated passion, autonomy and knowledge. For example, he asked pertinent questions regarding the patients’ electrolytes and history demonstrating a strong foundation in his practice. After watching the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), I was eager to learn more about Nurse Anesthetist as a profession. I spent countless of time researching what it takes to become a successful CRNA. While still in nursing school, I strived to obtain a strong academic foundation. Though my overall GPA is 3.3, I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Nursing International Honor Society. Following nursing school graduation, I was still hungry to learn more about the profession. I began working in an 32-bed ICU in a rural area. I was fascinated with the amount of critical thinking skills required to care for ill patients.
