Disability Discrimination act 1995-2005 – Protects the rights of people with disabilities to make sure that everyone can gain equal access to services.
Schools must eliminate harassment and unlawful discrimination.
Special educational needs and disability act 2001 - cannot discriminate against pupils with a special educational need or disability.
Human rights act 1998 – List of everyone’s rights
Children’s act 1989 – 2004 – Ensures the needs of children, their safety and welfare are provided.
Education act 1996 – Responsibility to provide for children with special educational needs.
Equality act 2010 – Legal responsibility for equal opportunity’s for all people.
