What is Education? The definition of education in common usage, that education is merely the delivery of knowledge, skills and information from teachers to students, is inadequate to capture what is really important about being and becoming educated.
The proper definition of education is the process of becoming an educated person. Being an educated person means you have access to optimal states of mind regardless of the situation you are in.
Importance of education: Through education only one can make their proper identity. Its importance can not be neglected as it is necessary for us like our basic needs like air, food, water etc. It teaches us a lot of things including the major of all i.e manners. It also teaches us our behaviors in different situations. It also creates a boundary between a well mannered, educated person and an illiterate.
Systems, whether educational or political, are not changed without explanation; they are transformed when there is a fundamental change in ourselves. The individual is of first importance, not the system; and as long as the individual does not understand the total process of himself, no system can bring order and peace to the world.
Education a social change: In today’s world we come across a lot of changes and education is an integral part of it. The foundations of education have been strengthened ever since man was created. Learning is considered as a continuous process where no one is an exception. Each of us has the capability to improve and be a more productive member of the society through education.
