Enuma Elish And Genesis
In comparison both the Enuma Elish and gensis creation. They both seem to talking about a God or gods to be specific ( Enuma Elish) Marduk and ( Genesis) God. The same way as humans we worship God so does the characters in the Enuma Elish. The beginning of each of these Stories are also the same, there was nothing. In both stories humans are created after everything else is made. There are a number of Similarities with genesis and the Enuma Elish but there are even more differences. In Genesis 1 speaks of a creation that was created with no violenece, God spoke everything into existence . While the Enuma Elish speaks of a violent creation which starts with violence, Marduk cuts Tiamat in Half inorder to form the hevaens and the Earth. In genesis

Usually when I look at the Bible I see it as a group of devine words that are inspiring, but with the thought that they might have borrowed some informationit sheds a different light for me. What I believe that I have to keep in mind is that these author had toput there experiences out there as well. I know that the bible was passed orally before it was written down. Even though there is a chance that the story is accurate I must say that I believe that it might have been changed a little. As humans when the game chinese telephones is played usually by the time it gets to the last person it is a little different. This is a great example to prove my point. As seen above I made my comparision to the Enuma Elish, I did this because we all know that this was about the same time period. With that being said if these people that were passing on these stories knew the stories of the Enumah Elish it is quiet evident that there is a chance that genesis story was influenced by the Enuma Elish. Even then when I look around in todays society I see more of the Enuma Elish, especially in th sense that we talk about the chaois and violence who is to tell that our actions hasn’t originated from that source( Enuma
