English of Communication
INTRODUCTION
What do you think about the communication? In my opinion, communication is an essential part of our lives. I say this because we communicate everyday with different people, at difference time, in different ways. We communicate with ourselves in our thoughts. Besides that, we also communicate with our family, friends, people at work, and people we meet, socially or professionally. Communication requires a sender, a message, and an intended recipient, although the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication; thus communication can occur across vast distances in time and space. As a result, the communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the sender. Elizabeth Tierney (1998) says that: “communication as a process which begins when you have a message that you want to deliver to an audience. Your audience receives the message, reacts to it and then responds to your message.” After that, there are four types of communication. The first types are oral communication. And the second types are written communication. Hence, non-verbal communication also one of the types of communication. Visual communication is last types of communication.
What are your views of the English language? In my view, English language is a very important part of our lives. I say this because English language is international language of the world. Besides that, English language also is a main language we using to talking with foreigner due to globalization. Finally, we also can use the English language to communicate with different races in Malaysia other than Bahasa Malaysia.
