Not create the next generation
Firstly, they think that although people have a right to live any way they like but traditionally, marriage is between a man and a woman. One of meaning purposes of marriage is create the next generation and mutual them. Children are the fundamental of future society. And obviously only opposite- sex marriage can play the role of create the future generation. So they think that we cannot change the key point in definition of marriage to suitable to all lifestyles.
Not ideal environment for development of children
Secondly, they argue that children need both father and mother in their development and same sex marriage always denies them a mother or a father. The children are the best flourish when they raised by biological mother and father who are united in marriage. Some research point out that girls without father are higher risk for early sexual activity and pregnancy in teenage age. Children without mother will miss the emotional and unique advices which only mother can provide. As I have already said earlier, children are the fundamental of society so society should be created an ideal environment for their development
Encouraging for other type of marriage
Another argument against legalization for same sex marriage is that this will encourage for other type of marriage like polygamous marriage or incestuous marriage.
Let’s me explain two type of marriage.
Polygamous marriage is the custom of having more than one wife or husband at the same time.
Incestuous marriage is marriage between member within family such as father and daughter, mother and son or even father and son or mother and daughter.
They argue that if same-sex marriage is legalized because none of this is discriminated, the supporter of polygamous marriage and incestuous marriage will have the same argue: the ban of these types of marriage is also discriminated and these should be also legalized.
That’s all I would like to say about arguments against legalization of same sex marriage.
