“To David, About his Education” by Howard Nemerov, explains that education isn’t always as important as you think. Nemerov supports the fact that outside knowledge and experience are far greater amenities then education alone. Nemerov advocates his theme by using literary devices such as verbal irony and tone. Nemerov mocks the way children are traditionally taught by using the devices for sarcasm to balance the pretend seriousness he conveys in the poem. For example Nemerov states, “The world is full of mostly invisible things… to find them out, things like how many times Byron goes into Texas… you have to go to school and study books.”…

This quote means that you have many moments in life that are simply just to take up time and carry one throughout the years but memories are much more important and stay in one’s head forever with no time limit. This quote is significant to the two novels Rush Home Road and Kite Runner because each protagonist has a past that they carry with them throughout their years. Their memories of tragedy are with them forever and there is no way of escaping them permanently. In the novels Rush Home Road by Lori Lansens and Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, the protagonists, Addy and Amir, are constantly drawn back home by recalling difficult memories, through adoption, and with the idea that they have a mission to complete.…

The diagram of the electromagnetic spectrum in figure 6-18, shows various properties across the range of frequencies and wavelength. Electromagnetic spectrum the figures at the bottom of the diagram represents the approximate scale of wavelengths. It starts from the smallest to the largest. Which is the Atomic nucleus, atom, virus, bacteria, pinhead, fingernail, humans, skyscrapers, and mount Everest. The figure also shows the wavelength and the frequency scale. The region of the spectrum are broadly classified into the following classes radio, microwave, infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays. The term “radiation” means the emission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving subatomic particles. Gamma rays: used in cancer radiation treatments, come from radioactive material, also from supernova explosions. X-rays used in airports to look inside luggage, used for medical diagnostics, also created in stars (like our sun).Ultraviolet used to sterilize medical equipment and some foods, emitted by the sun and can cause skin cancer and mutations in plants. Infrared an oven, a stovetop, a curling iron, and a blow-dryer use infrared (heat), so does a heat lamp at a buffet table to keep hot foods hot, we feel it as the heat of the sun. Microwave used by microwave ovens (hence the name) to cook food, used for communications, radar, plasma physics, and is a branch of astronomy that studies microwaves (most notably the study of the cosmic background microwave radiation left over from the Big Bang).Radio waves used for broadcasting news and music to car radios, used for some medical treatments, Jupiter and our sun are the nearest radio sources in the…

    1. Boundaries A discussion of the regions (or bands or types) of the electromagnetic spectrum is given below. Note that there are no precisely defined boundaries between the bands of the electromagnetic spectrum; rather they fade into each other like the bands in a rainbow (which is the sub-spectrum of visible light). Radiation of each frequency and wavelength (or in each band) will have a mixture of properties of two regions of the spectrum that bound it. For example, red light resembles infrared radiation in that it can excite and add energy to some chemical bonds and indeed must do so to power the chemical mechanisms responsible for photosynthesis and the working of the visual system.…
