Engaging Children
I really enjoyed reading the initial post from my colleagues and I do share some similarities regarding children’s literature and how it influences the minds of children. There is definitely no one definition for a child that is why children are so unique in whatever they do as compared to adults. I do agree with Brittany Hardyman’s idea of how children’s books educate and create a sense of imagination for these children. Engaging children in whatever they do is very important because that is how they learn and develop. Engaging children in reading can be accomplished by incorporating more visuals, colors and creating a sense of imagination with the contents of the book.
