Math genius, World War II hero and Father of Artificial Intelligence, get’s arrested in Manchester England, 1954. Alan reports to police in England that it appeared to him that things in his home such as shirts, pants, and sweaters were missing but nothing big of value. As the police arrive to Alan’s apartment, detectives interview him and put his ideas together as they realize that the thief behind this robbery can be his boyfriend at the time. Alan gets arrested; it’s a law in England that people of the same sex should not be seen in public or together in private. Police at the time had no idea that the person they were taking to jail was a War hero, said Robert.
Long before Allan Turning was arrested in his teenage years he was described to have dark hair, squared face but not unattractive. Allan was a goofy kid; many times he was bullied but never unhappy. He attended Shore Born School where he falls in love with a boy named Christopher Morcum. Alan described him as a charming, handsome and socially smooth kid. They both had a bond over science even though turning never declared his love for Morcum. Weeks from meeting him it comes to a sudden shock when Alan finds out that Christopher has passed away while at school from Bavarian Tuberculosis. Alan kept a relationship with Christopher’s mom after his death throughout the years, after this he realized many things on his own.
At this point Alan realizes the true love and the passion he has for math. He decides to go to study away at King's College Cambridge where he is described to be a loner. His thoughts through his lonely days in the fields of at King's College Cambridge led him to one question “Is there a quick automatic way to prove or disprove a mathematical proposition?” This question at the time was the big questions mathematician around the world were trying to find an answer to. This led to his idea to one

If I could start a business I would start a lawn care and services business because I enjoy gardening, working outside. With a lawn care service it is a stable and a repeat business, for the customer that do not have time or just do not want to do there on lawn. For those customers from late spring the early Fall they will need their lawns mowed once a week, making for a stable business. There will be some challenge in starting this business, lawn care has many competitors. Just by doing a web search for lawn care services there were multiple pages some are well known and others are may you of one or two persons. Then there is the expenses of starting up, equipment and a way transport the equipment insurance on vehicles, equipment and employees. Also insurance that would cover damages that may occur during your services. During the startup customer base may be low, because people do not know the company. The strategies for overcoming these challenges would be to start with a good business plan, with doing this I would ask for help from people successful in business. There are many websites one of them is SBA.GOV which is the U.S. Small Business Administration. As for obtaining a customer base, advertisement with the use of social media and creating a website, use Craigslist attend lawn and garden show and pass out flyers and business card, make use of Groupon. Based on the business plan if it would be a good idea to purchasing an existing business, this could provide both customer base and equipment. Also for the customer base I would place bids on city property that had to be taken care of and contact with other small business owners. The desired outcome of this would be to provide a service that is needed and own a business that is well known and respected. That the business would grow from a small to a medium size company and never lose site customer relationships and customer satisfaction.…

This Boy's Life, set in America in the 1950’s, is a compelling memoir by Tobias Wolff, whom recreates the frustrations and cruelties faced throughout his adolescence, as he fights for identity and self-respect. During this period of time, America underwent major changes in the political and economic spheres, which in turn were responsible for its social makeover. Society in this time was geared toward family; marriage and children being part of the national agenda. The 1950’s was also an age of male dominance, where even if women worked, their assumed proper place was at home. Throughout the memoir, the protagonist, young Jack Wolff, makes it difficult for the reader to feel much affection towards him, as his actions prove to be troublesome and unruly. However, as the memoir progresses, Jacks struggle reveal the reasons for his actions which sequentially shape his character, providing the readers with understanding and sympathy towards his inexorable situation. The fraudulent lies and deceitful ways of Jack can be frustrating upon the reader; though we come to realise that he does this in order to be accepted by the people around him. Jack also engages in fights and unfaithfully betrays his best friend Arthur, although it becomes evident that he only does this in order to gain Dwight’s approval of him. The lack of a real father figure in Jack’s life has a profound impact on him and his desperate attempt to develop his identity, which further supports the readers’ emotions of sympathy towards him.…

Some families of “powhitetrash” lived on her farm land just behind the school. Momma made sure all of her children addressed the adults in a polite manner. It was almost an unspoken law, if you will, none of her children dared to violate the rule. Everyone knew about the accepted law, except for the “powhitetrash” children. At this point in the story, one might think it to be about the appalling and tragic history African Americans had undergone throughout the years. One might have even thought the end to be quite predictable, possibly concluding in an act of violence that could potentially start an uproar in society. I know I did.…
