Employee Right and Responsibilities
Task 1
A contract is put in place between an employer and an employee. This is so that both people are covered if either decides to make different decisions. For example.. If the employer decides that they no longer want the employee, they have to give so many days/weeks’ notice for them to have time to find another job. This works the other way so if an employee wants to leave then the employer has time to fill the job vacancy. It also states how much pay you’re earning so that the employee can’t under or over pay you (this is shown on your pay slip). Also on the contract will state how many hours you are contracted to work a week so that your employer gives you the contracted hours. You can work overtime.
