I am going to prepare a fact sheet that will involve the following information about Employability skills. I have chosen Customer Assistant as my part of research for Tesco stores.
Employability skills Verbal Communication – Able to communicate with team as well to share your ideas. This skill will be useful while doing Customer Assistant role as you will need to communicate with other people and give them advice if they need it. Teamwork- Able to work in a team. You will work in a team that will be made of out few different people and the manager that will be your team leader. Written Communication- Writing emails, letters and other paper-based items. Additionally they have labelled them, by using a big piece of paper that is hanging at the top of aisle. Toilets are another physical resource which is needed for every business, there are customers that might need toilet facilities urgently. They have got stairs which will allow customers and staff to travel between floors, to make it easier for people that are struggling with walking they have created escalators and lifts. They do have stockrooms in which they keep stock if something runs out they will be able to bring product back to it’s place. Disabled facilities are also there for people that have got problems with accessing normal facilities for example they have created wider toilets which will allow wheelchair users to use it. Café is created for customers if they will feel hungry or thirsty so they are able to grab a food or drink on the go, additionally it might be a meeting place as they have got luxury seats and tables which will allow you to sit down and have a chat with people that you came …show more content…
Lifts and escalators are made for people with disabilities that will help them to travel between different floors. Additionally they are using automatic doors which is help for disabled people as well for normal people that for example are carrying shopping with them and they have no hands free to open the doors. Tills are used in Tesco Stores because they are helping the cashier to calculate the total of the shopping and calculate the change that should be given, additionally they are printing receipts that are used as a proof of purchase. Fridges and Freezers are used to cool the products that need it and to keep products cold because some products for example meat when it will be placed in a normal temperature about 20 degrees Celsius then it will become uneatable as it will start to become damaged by bacteria’s. Lighting is used to make store brighter and to see products that are on the shelves without light at the night time you may struggle of finding a product when it will be
