Eminem is arguably the king of hip-hop and made it acceptable for White-American people to be involved in hip-hop.
After moving through many cities in the Missouri area, Mathers and his mother finally settled in Salem’s Lot on 8 Mile Road(Biography.com). Many people say that Mathers is a negative influence because of making light of substandard and poor lifestyles, when really he was showing that the media will not actually try and investigate the problem and instead lash out and protest when Mathers clearly states in his song “Criminal” this quote
