Intro to emergency sevices is a class that teaches its students the value of integerity, team work and the history of emergency services. It is important that we know the history that lead up to our current modern state. As we learn the history of emergency sservice we continue to make vital strides forward. I have learned many important things while taking this class. One of these things includes the fact that 73% of firefighting services are volunteer based, and that only 27% are career based. There are about 1.1 million firefighting services in the united states. This means that nearly 803,000 firefighters are volunteers. I have also learned that in the beginning of time man first feared fire. This was because fire was first caused by
