Effects of Technology Technology has been a great impact in our lives. It has quickly developed and continues to expand in our lives. As new generations develop, new technological devices continue to develop as well. Some believe that technology has had a good impact in our lives like Richard Woods. Others like me believe that technology brings a lot of negative effects to our personal and social lives as Sarah Kershaw mentions. We now depend on technology, which affects us and causes us to get bad habits. Technology has caused addiction to the internet, depression, isolation, anxiety, loss of job, marital difficulties and it has also affected our social skills. Although technology has brought us a lot of negative effects we have adapted and see it as a routine. Now in day we could not find ourselves, without some of our technological devices such as our cell phone. Unfortunately we have become addicted to wireless devices. “Like Black Berry wireless email devices, sometimes called crack berries because they are considered so addictive; the Treo cell phone organizer; and text messaging has created a more generalized technology addiction.’ It has become a routine to check our social networking accounts, cell phones, emails etc. our generation spends a good amount of time using our technological devices. In the article, “The next step in brain evolution” by Richard Woods he describes us as digital Natives he writes “one who has never known a world without instant communication.” Technology has become an importance in our lives; people cannot imagine this world without technology. Our society has adapted in having instant communication through text messaging, emails etc. when that instant communication is not their people do not find themselves. This has caused us to get bad habits. Technology has affected us in many ways. It’s incredible that people become addicted to the internet because of
