To Kill A Mockingbird is a novel that portrays a lot of situations regarding discrimination and prejudice and anyone can write about these situations because it gives you a lot of chances to prove your points. The effect discrimination has on people of Maycomb is a very influential effect. Atticus Finch defending Tom Robinson was an example of discrimination,and the target of discrimination was Tom Robinson.

For instance Boo radley is not that active socially and his social reputation portrays him as an evil figure. In reality he is not what people see him as he is an innocent person. Dolphus Raymond’s reputation portrays him as an Alcoholic. In reality he carries cola in his bag not Alcohol. The citizens of Maycomb think he is a drunk because he creates a scene when he’s drunk and out of control.
