ABSTRUCT

The importance of entrepreneurship education has gained widespread acceptance and documented. Less, however, is known about the effectiveness of such programs. This problem may be compounded by a lack of consensus about their purpose.

We consider three popular objectives of entrepreneurship education and review significant literature in key areas of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, learning theory to understand dominant paradigms in the field. It goes on to examine methods used and results obtained by available research into educational outcomes. There is a paucity of research and what there is tends to use surrogates for performance, such as attitude measures, to test effectiveness. We conclude that learning outcomes need to be clearly stated so that they can be properly tested using behavioural measures.

Methodology
This paper outlines the literature review in a project investigating entrepreneurship education models used or believed to be used in university settings and their learning outcome across Australia. The contents are based on a broad review, carried out referring to articles/papers included in entrepreneurship and management journals, books and research reports on entrepreneurship, the conference proceedings.

    Scott Adams shares with us the ideal framework for an entrepreneurial curriculum. In his article How to Get a Real Education, he reinforces the fact that the whole is far greater than the sum of these parts, especially in the context of an entrepreneur. Adams tells us of a couple stories from when he was in college and how he used the skills of an entrepreneur to become successful. He saw opportunities, sometimes embedded within problems, and worked them to his favor. This is what he referred to when speaking of the learned skill of transforming “nothing into something”, which is a skill that obviously applies to business. His basic idea is that much academic-oriented education is wasted on many people. Scott says these people would instead profit from a much more skills-oriented education, “something useful, like entrepreneurship”. Adams is essentially informing these college students on how to make the most out of their schooling and what skills are needed to do so.…

    Fraud has evidently become one of the most problematic issues faced by companies throughout the world. However, the pervasiveness and seriousness of fraud could not be surmounted with the extant methods used to combat fraud. Recent evidences specify that forensic accounting services (FAS) are the least often used of any anti-fraud methods but had the highest effectiveness rating. The underutilization of this essential service provided the imperative for this study. The multi-phased mixed-method research design utilized a theoretically grounded, parsimonious, yet comprehensive conceptual framework. Quantitative data analysis using Partial Least Square from Structural Equation Modeling confirmed the significant positive influence of attitude, stakeholder pressure, and perceived susceptibility to fraud on the organizational intention to use FAS for fraud detection and prevention.
