QUESTION: Explain the three major educational avenues through which the audience of environmental education can be reached?
This essay is an attempt to explain the three major educational avenues through which the audience of Environmental Education can be reached, it will start by defining the key concepts which are audience, education as well as environmental education after which the essay will proceed into explaining the above-mentioned subject. Finally the conclusion will be drawn.
An audience is a group of people who participate in a show or encounter a work of art, literature in which they are called readers, theatre, music, in which they are called listeners or academics in any medium. (Chaim, 1961).
Education according to Snelson, (1974) is defined as a condition of human survival. It is a process through which one generation passes experiences, attitudes and ideas to another generation for life’s duties and pleasures. Therefore, from the above definition of education we can understand something educational or an educational avenue as a way of doing something for human survival which is a process through which one generation passes experiences, attitudes and ideas to another generation for life’s duties and pleasures. In this case, the essay seeks to explain the three major educational avenues through which the audience of Environmental Education can be reached. Environmental Education on the other hand is the process of recognizing values and clarifying concepts in order to develop skills and attitude
