education qualification
“Minimum educational qualifications should be made mandatory for contesting elections in India”. – For the topic For political leaders their biggest test is the Election which determines whether they have been able to work as per the interest of the voters. It is imperative for political leaders to be responsive to people's needs and show concern to their problems or else they will be voted out of power. Poverty, illiteracy continues to hamper the progress of our country. If we prescribe educational qualification for leaders it would be against the democratic principle for a country where large section of population is illiterate and the very essence of elections which implies giving chance to everybody to contest would be defeated. It should be left to the voters to decide educational qualification for leaders. For leaders, it is more of their ability to understand people's concerns that matters
Narendra Modi, with not so strong education background, a sublime politician, an influential personality India has seen in years. Since elections, he made visit to, many foreign countries and surprisingly none questioned his educational background. Rahul Gandhi, strong family background, high educational qualifications, yet not supported by Indians. This makes one thing clear, we Indians demand a leader who is pragmatic, sincere, and offers viable solutions to the most intense problems faced by our country today, and we will always support them.
Many say that education is must, because then how will the politician understand the depth of the problem if he has no idea of that field, how will he ensure good relations with other countries if they have no common language to interact. But our respected prime minister answered all these questions through his sincerity, hard work, honest and transparent behaviour towards his followers, towards Indians and I think if a leader has those mentioned qualities, education does not matters.

Bacharach, S. B., (2008) states that most people do not understand that political competence is an essential skill for leadership. It is not enough for a good leader to come up with good ideas but he/she should also know how to convert those ideas into actions in their work place. To be a successful leader one should have the political knowledge of an Organization’s overall vision, ability to understand others perspective on a matter, gauge supporters and convince grumblers for their buy-in before moving forward to execute a plan. He added that becoming a successful leader requires continuous process of follow up, persuasion, monitoring and obtaining consensus of all the involved stakeholders’ until the thorough completion of plan (Bacharach, 2008).…

Competency-based education has gained attention in medical and health professional education, and it is a framework where the student proves that he or she is proficient in his or her ability, skills, and knowledge (Fan, Wang, Chao, Jane, & Hsu, 2015; Fastré, Klink, Amsing-Smit, & Merriënboer, 2014; Gruppen et al., 2016; Fitzgerald et al., 2016; Hawkins et al., 2015; Leggett, 2015; ten Cate, 2015; Touchie & ten Cate, 2016).
