Dear Miss. Jackee: This book is called The Great Escape. This book is a really good book. I thought that this book was going to be really borring but it actually wasn't it was really good. The main character in this book is a boy named Brian. Brian is from Germany and he hadto leave his home because ther Russians were attacking the Germans and he and his mom left toanother state in Germany. The rising action in this book is that Brian and his mom have to leave their home town and leave everything behind and go somewhere else without getting cought or killed.
And they don'tknow where ther going eather have a map or anything to guide them they are just running from the Rissians and to hope that they don't get cought. The climax in this book is that they get to some where safely and Brian gets a job helping the Americans and his mom gets a job house kepping for some lady and they both have a job andhave enough money to live. And to make the story better the war ends and Brian has a job with the Americans and they leave because the war ended so Brian doesen't have a job , but he finds another job translating from English to German and German to English with some americans and he finds his future job. The falling action is that he and his mom don't have to worry about leaving again because there was not goinf to be any other

    The main character of the story is Brian, a thirteen year old boy who was going to his father after his dad and mom got divorce, but was stranded in northern Canada after his plane crashes. Brian seen like a very intelligent teen, who is able to stay calm and work things out. He is able to figure things out by himself and is able to adapt to his environment. In the story Brian learns to make himself a very protective shelter to protect him against the winter’s harsh climate. He also learns how to make a bow and arrow from pieces of wood that he finds in the forest, and snow shoes from rabbits skin that he catches. He also learns fro his mistake, like when he leave his food out in the open and a bear came and almost destroys his shelter. The bear and the skunk also become like characters of the story, since they are they interact with Brian the most. The skunk becomes like Brian’s friend and bodyguard since he once help him against the bear that often comes to steal his food when he gets careless.…

    Brian gets to the airport to meet the bush plane and after a while in the plane, the pilot has a heart attack and dies. After that tragic event, Brian crash lands into a lake and swims to a nearby bank. Later on in the book, Brain builds a nice shelter and wonders how he is going to get food. After hours of searching, Brian finds a patch of berries and he begins to eat them very quickly and they make him really sick. He knows he can’t live without a fire so he ventures out for wood and chops it into to logs with his hatchet and builds a fire. A noise wakes Brian up and in the morning he finds out that it was a turtle laying eggs which he comes to the conclusion that the eggs are a nice source of food. He decides that eggs are not going to be enough so Brian makes a bow and a spear to catch fish with. As he is trying to catch fish, a plane flies over his head but the pilot does not see him so he falls into the depths of hopelessness and his suicide attempt shows his emotional state. Brian makes mental notes of what he has killed for food and calls them days. For example, one of his mental notes is “Rabbit Day.” The next day, Brian had just killed some foolbirds and is washing his hands in the lake when he hears the sound of something…

    Brian Robeson, the main character of the novel, is a thirteen year old boy from New York City. His parents are divorced, and Brian's recent discovery of his mother's affair weighs heavily on him. Brian boards a small, two-person plane headed toward the Canadian woods to visit his father. While flying, Brian receives a quick lecture on how to fly the plane. The pilot experiences some pain in his shoulder, arm, and stomach, but Brian dismisses it as nothing serious. Soon after, the pilot begins to jerk in his seat, he has a heart attack and dies quickly. Brian is forced to take control of the plane, however he cannot fly it successfully and the plane crashes into a lake in the Canadian woods. Brian survives the crash with minor injuries, however he has no food and little experience in the wilderness. Brian assumes he will be rescued soon by a search plane, however he is wrong. Brian Robeson is stranded in the woods for fifty-four days. Brian undergoes many hardships, makes many mistakes, but through each mistake learns. Brian makes his first mistake when he eats some unidentifiable berries he finds that later make him very ill. Brian makes plenty of other mistakes during his fifty-four day stay in the wilderness. While stranded, a plane flies over Brian giving him a sliver of hope. The plane does not stop, however, and continues on its way leaving Brian devastated.
