The visual cover image for the November 26, 2013 National Basketball Association (NBA) Indiana Pacers basketball player Paul George for Eastbay catalogs for athletic products advertisements; Eastbay is well known for it’s athletic apparel and sports equipment. The purpose of this image is to reach all the men that can afford name brand clothes and sneakers and to convince them to purchase the athletics products advertised by Paul George through the catalog. But I am concerned that the Eastbay catalogs only include men cover images as part of the design features. After reviewing the visual cover image,…

Segmentation is the first step in early detection of skin cancer. To analyse, it is necessary to accurately locate and isolate the lesions. In this three unsupervised segmentation method for skin lesions have been discussed. In the Ostu’s method, it has shown the best segmentation results among the three methods. It is fully unsupervised that does not require any change of parameter for different skin lesions. The second one, the gradient vector flow gets in active contour to boundary concavities, even when the noise is present. The execution speed is very slow and that is the drawback. To converge to objects long time is taken. This method is not fully unsupervised. For different skin lesions changing parameters is required. On the other…

Term 1: Visual Imagery: Is the use of vivid or figurative language to represent images, objects, actions or ideas. In the poem Driving to Town Late Late to Mail a Letter by Robert Bly, the author uses Visual Imagery to describe the view of the day. When Bly uses “It is a cold and snowy night. The main street is deserted” (1), we can picture it as if we were with the speaker driving around on a lonely and cold day. Visual Imagery is important to this piece of literature because it allows us to picture what is going on based on the choice of words of the author.…

One can observed that the set of images represent the religion's condition in two very distant time periods. The first image shows Jesus Christ right before crucification. He is surrounded by a very angry mob, who felt threated by Jesus Christ and his believes. Thus, deciding it was in their best interest to end his life. On the second image, Because the litter vehicle or sedan chair didn't become popular in Europe after the 16th century, we can estimate that the image represents religion on or after this time period. A time period where religion seems to not only be accepted but also a very powerful institution.…
