Air pollution, endangered animals, dirty water in seas and rivers. Specialists discuss these problems and newspapers report almost every day what happens all around us. Poisonous smoke from factories and car exhaust fumes make smog. The amount of litter grows every day. People improve their conditions but unfortunately it happens by means of nature which suffers a lot. Nowadays the young try to protect the environment.
Let’s speak about air pollution. Not only the factories pollute the air in the cities. But also the car exhaust fumes do this. When I get older I won’t drive a car or I’ll try to use it less as possible and instead of this I will ride bicycle or use public transport. In such way I hope that I will help to reduce the air pollution in the cities. We can save the world’s oxygen by planting trees. My dad and I have already done it in our garden.
The next important problem is the amount of litter. When I go to the supermarket to buy something I try not to take products with a lot of packaging or disposable products. These things may be more convenient for us, but not for the environment. Recently, I begin to think of following the trend of recycling, it means to separate different kinds of litter. Such as glass, plastic, paper and organic wastes. As for us, of course, it is a hard work, because we didn’t use to do this but it will help our environment.
Have you ever thought about the economy of energy and water? I always turn the lights off when I leave a room and switch all electrical things off when I don’t use them. I believe that we can also save fresh water, in the morning, when I brush my teeth I switch off the water and try to waste it less.
We try to make our life comfortable and to

With energy being a scarce resource, people across the world need to look at lifestyle changes to protect the environment for future generations. Anything from driving less to turning off a light in a room can help the cause. Conservation methods take thought, commitment, and changes to everyday lives to make a difference. In order to conserve energy, consumers need to be aware of their daily usage and find ways to cut the usage down. Conservation of energy includes using less gasoline, electricity, and non-renewable resources. It also involves finding and producing alternative energy, recycling and home improvements. Not all methods of energy conservation will negatively impact the daily routines of people. With a little consideration and dedication to reduce energy consumption, everyone can do their part.…

Nonetheless, saving energy not only benefits the planet, but our ‘pockets’ as well. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a simple task like replacing the light bulbs in your home can save up “75% energy of the 10% home energy costs.” Or simply unplugging electronics and appliances when not in use – a task made easier by using multiple-outlet strips, which can turn everything off with the flip of a switch – can save you money. For example, Leaving a computer on all day can cost about “21 cents per day, or about $75 per year” (U.S. Department of energy). Also, according to Goldemberg’s article “Energy for the New Millennium”, 78% of CO2 and 23% of methane is expelled from energy activities which are ultimately major contributors to indoor air pollution, urban air pollution, acidification and global…

Another serious problem is pollution. Pollution in cities is mainly caused by a vast amount of household waste which is rising because of the growth of population. In fact, a large proportion of rubbish are difficult to be degraded such as plastics or glass, and could last for 100 years or even thousands years. Recycling and reusing useful materials is an effective solution which is used in many cities. In addition, each house should use several rubbish bins for separate waste. It could help cities to save money for classifying rubbish and it also improves citizens’ perceptions of recycling. Moreover, cities should encourage people to use shopping baskets, especially ecofriendly baskets, instead of using so much packaging for each type of food or products when going to…

    1. CHANGE YOUR LIGHT If every household in the United State replaced one regular light bulb with one of those new compact fluorescent bulbs, the pollution reduction would be equivalent to removing one million cars from the road. Don't like the color of light? Use these bulbs for closets, laundry rooms and other places where it won't irk you as much. 2. TURN OFF COMPUTERS AT NIGHT By turning off your computer instead of leaving it in sleep mode, you can save 40 watthours per day. That adds up to 4 cents a day, or $14 per year. If you don't want to wait for your computer to start up, set it to turn on automatically a few minutes before you get to work. 3. DON'T RINSE Skip rinsing dishes before using your dishwasher and save up to 20 gallons of water each load. Plus, you're saving time and the energy used to heat the additional water. 4. DO NOT PRE-HEAT THE OVEN Unless you are making bread or pastries of some sort, don't pre-heat the oven. Just turn it on when you put the dish in. Also, when checking on your food, look through the oven window instead of opening the door. 5. RECYCLE GLASS Recycled glass reduces related air pollution by 20 percent and related water pollution by 50 percent. If it isn't recycled it can take a million years to decompose. 6. DIAPER WITH A CONSCIENCE By the time a child is toilet trained, a parent will change between 5,000 and 8,000 diapers, adding up to approximately 3.5 million tons of waste in U.S. landfills each year. Whether you choose cloth or a more environmentally-friendly disposable, you're making a choice that has a much gentler impact on our planet. 7. HANG DRY Get a clothesline or rack to dry your clothes by the air. Your wardrobe will maintain color and fit, and you'll save money. Your favorite t-shirt will last longer too. 8. GO VEGETARIAN ONCE A WEEK One less meat-based meal a week helps the planet and your diet. For example: It requires 2,500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef. You…
