44. Why do you never apply an ohmmeter to a live network? (Boylestad 98)
Boylestad, Robert L. Introductory Circuit Analysis, VitalSource for DeVry University, 12th Edition. Pearson Learning Solutions, 11/2012. VitalBook file.

Answer: It will be an inaccurate measurement because there is already a current flowing inside of it. An ohmmeter measures the current from the voltage that’s been being put out. So by applying an ohmmeter to a live network it will have an confusion between the live network and an ohmmeter voltage.
